An imaginative, fast-moving, work-related learning programme focusing on the importance of marketing as a total business philosophy within successful businesses and social enterprises. We enthuse students by using real business examples. Students develop their marketing & selling capability through practical team challenges.

Topics covered include:

  • Recognising demand - marketing research
  • Stimulating demand – marketing mix – ‘7Ps’ (product, price, promotion, place, process, people, physical evidence)
  • Satisfying demand & making profit – selling the right product, to the right customer, at the right price, at the right time

Public sector / not-for profit marketing is introduced and why the Government needs to communicate and advertise their message to the public e.g. Stop Smoking, Drink driving, Elections etc. Examples of real marketing campaigns are included and guidance on how you measure the success of such campaigns.

Our programme will give your students an understanding of:

  • what selling is all about
  • customer needs v wants
  • useful tools used in marketing such as USP and AIDA
  • product development & how to create a marketing plan
  • advertising, logos and the power of branding
  • pricing – how pricing strategies work
